I’m a designer, professor and consultant. I've practiced (or thought about, taught and facilitated) design for products, services, systems and strategies for a ridiculously long time and with a wide variety of clients. I work with a collection of extremely talented and personable designers and subject matter experts capable of delivering success in any context.
My work has led me to where design meets organizational strategy and the rubber hits the road. Because, when any organization, anywhere, from non-profit to Fortune 500, aligns on purpose, mission and methods, great things happen.

Some design truisms
Good design means everybody’s onboard.
The problem you start with is unlikely to be the problem you solve.
Good design provides answers, great design provides the right questions.
Don’t wait for perfect information. Get moving, pay attention, alter course as needed.
The customer is often wrong, the client is often wrong, everyone is often wrong. That’s ok. We fail forward fast.
The first solution is likely to suck, at least a little.
If success were just a matter of following a process, we would all be at the beach.
Ideas are easy. Implementation is harder.
